Flock 1.1 - The Social Web Browser

Spent the morning trying patiently to configure Flock 1.1 to organise my connected life. I’m sat away from my main computer as there are simply too many distractions on it, eg games, countless weblinks and other timesinks. So I’m sat on a “lowly” Apple G4 1.5ghz Powerbook. Flock has some grand aspirations to be an uber media centre of the connected world. It will allow me to view my facebook, twitter feeds, email, flickr accounts and much more besides. The problem is it’s really grinding on what I believe to be still a relatively powerful machine and certainly the equivalent of a cheap laptop you could purchase at a supermarket for £3-400, so what’s going on with it.

Is anyone having similar experiences to me or it Flock just trying to be all things to all men and not succeeding?

If you haven’t encountered it yes check it out here

Edit : Well I installed it on a newer machine a 1.8ghz core duo iMac and it trundles along really quite nicely, it’s not as fast as firefox but… Sorry Flock
